Hi Mate

Check for a red battery light during the test drive....that'll be your alternator and will be sure to ruin your weekend

First - MAKE SURE ITS GOT A WARRANTY !

There are loads of threads on here for new buyers - use the search facility above..

Also, here is the link from PH when I started looking....and good luck !

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing...0realistic%20?

Enjoy the search, thats part of the fun. Try and buy from enthusiast or a known forum car -good luck

Welcome Advantec

As Yanto says, use the search facility on here - you will unearth loads of stuff.

I recommend a private sale car with BMW warranty still running (preferably with 0% excess). FBMWSH obviously with Aircon and Xenons as the 'must have' options.

Don't let higher miles put you off, equally so a car that has been tracked/modded as they are usually 'over-maintained' to a high standard.

Rob.

Likewise dont let lack of A/C and xenons put you off if its the right car. Over a year now of ownership with no A/C, I retrofitted xenons and I have not missed the A/C once. Its not a daily driver if it was I may have held out for A/C.

You can buy a BMW warranty for just over £1000 if the car you purchase does not have one.
