Calm before the storm,
http://www.jzmporsche.com/porsche-fo...u-for-sale-623 they'll also soon be advertising, unless they sell before hand of course, a pair of 993 Turbo S models, one with delivery miles and one with 60 miles for a cool £700K each and a 993 GT2 at the same same money. |

You guys are forgetting that there is a whole new wealthy league only just getting interested in classics. Till date they were mostly looking at purple lambo's.
On top of that, cars have changed. It's all turbo, pdk and electric steering nowadays. As with any other stuff, vintage is and remains hot. Car to buy now is (IMO) 996 GT3 |

Both 996 RS and non-RS good news - ship has sailed on the the former now though. 1999 mk1 GT3 CS will be raving news. My vote though would go for a gen1 997 GT3 for around £60-65k - same body, engine (Mezger - albeit different state of tune), and many many components as the 4.0RS, but around £300k less! It seems the 997.1 has been forgotten.... for now

Exactly. For a 996RS you're way too late. Same goes for 964RS.
997mk1 RS in orange, black or silver can still be picked up at reasonable prices, but I'm curious to see how mk1 values will fare compared to mk2's. There's not that much difference between 'm now, which surprises me a bit. My money would be on 996 mk1 CS at the moment. 997 mk1 GT3 will take some more time to consolidate lower. But hey - we're talking about CSL's here right ![]() The prices of CSL's seem to be at a stalemate the past 2 years (I'm talking LHD, not too familiar with the RHD situation). Production numbers are 841 LHD's and 542 RHD's if I'm correct, right? (excluding 19 LHD and 10 RHD pre-production examples) |

The GT3 is hopefully my next ride, possibly next year.
I was looking at a 996.2 but they a) seem impoible to find at all, and b) are c£50k minimum now. In comparison the 997.1 can be had for c£63k. To me it seems much better sense to get a newer 997.1 with low miles than a leggier older version. Woudn't even consider a 996.1 GT3. Those headlights ![]() But that's just me. ![]()
