I've had 2500 for road and track, never had an issue with their track performance - yes they do crack discs if they are heated up too fast, but I've never had them fade. They don't last as long as the pagid, but they are half the price, and I like the bite feel near the limit - they still have a delicate touch under foot whereas I found pagids needed a good shove.
It just depends on personal preference and I guess the DS suit me, I've raced tin tops for nearly 20 years and always used DS3000 without any issues, so I could be a bit biased towards the brand.

i like the ds3000 range, imo good pads work well on my little z4m.
