Default Pork & Cesil

sun was out yesterday
bored with work and doing some reports
lydden hill circuit up the road
any excuse to get out for a drive...

met up with Stumpy and his CSL. great fun and nice to swap cars/drive back to back. the GT3 and CSL feel very different when you do that.

Cant believe it was Karl's first 911 drive. Done the virginity in style mate.

Let me say he was enjoying it when I was following in the cesil, having a 'red letter day' ;-)

Karl said front end very light and bobbs around. Fair shout
You sit a lot higher in the csl and its more of a saloon car feel.
You really notice how well balanced the weight is in the csl and really 50/50 compared to the 911.
Loved driving on the Michelin cups again. What a tyre and what turn in and grip
Csl harder to work in lower revs and less torque than gt3 (3.2 versus 3.6)
Getting back into csl was like riding an old bike. SMG no issue and its just one of those things. Takes some getting used to over a manual. Gt3 has longer gearing
You notice gt3 has more traction as its just dumps the power down with everything over
CSL brakes felt a lot more servoed than the Porsche and had to adapt to that.
Still love the csl colour and it looks great in grey with the carbon roof.
The racket the csl makes with the sport button on is just brilliant and addictive
Great few hours and nice to be able to have a swap around.

Very nice, two fantastic cars. I remember coming back from spending a weekend around Scotland in my 996 turbo, the next morning I went out in the M3 Cab I had at the time, when I got to the end of my road at about 15mph and hit the brakes I nearly went through the windscreen. You really have to push on the Porsche brakes but they are amazing when you do.

Nice one Nick. Really enjoyed the catch up. Enjoyed both cars immensely.
Loved the Pork. Was a tad nervous at first in the GT3 but seeing as we were mostly on A roads was fine...

Need to get a TD organised fella. Spa in October?
