Default DSC Failed

My DSC light is permanently lit up. Upon checking the manual, it says it has failed and to take it to a dealer. Does anyone know if im ok to drive it still and will it cause any further problems? Im assuming its going to cost a lot to fix it aswell ??

How was the car being driven when the light came on and stayed on??
Also is it red or amber... not sure if the dsc goes red but just curious!

Reason I ask is that the last time I gave it some beans the smg light came on and stayed on.. But after a couple of days it reset itself and was faultless for Milbrook too

Fingers crossed its just a sensor thats had wobbly coz in my experience anything BMW is costly

Its yellow i think. And there is a warning light aswell on the warning light section in red. I was only tootling along slowly when it came on and i hadnt been driving it hard before hand either. It happened yesterday, started her up this morning and the lights were still on. Not driven it yet as i didnt know if i would do it more harm. Might try it and see if the traction control is working when i push it as it could be a faulty sensor like you say. Hope so....

It'll be fine to drive and you won't have any traction control. Your ABS is probably shut down too.
There are a few sensors that can have that effect, the dealer will be able to tell which one.

I had this happen to me also ... it's the DSC pressure sensor on the brake master cylinder: (Part no.2 below): part number 34521164458

Warranty repair luckily - not a cheap sensor by any means and requires a brake bleed.
