he argued quite rightly that stock CSL brakes are really top notch, better than GT3. great stopping power but just limited by the lack of cooling mainly caused by track day heros (hobby drivers he called them).

He correctly stated that CSL brakes are only limited by tyre grip and not disc size or pad size

I'd go as far as to say that M3 CSLs front floating 345 mm discs are excellent and with the decent brake pads like (Performance Friction "R" or Pagid RS19 / RS 29), braided lines and Racing speck brake fluid plus adequate cooling, can work very well ... but to say they are better then Porsche Brembo GT3 set up ?!?! No way, never, not in a million years
