IVe run both AP and PF discs and noticed a marginal life improvement on PF. AP discs do hairline crack early but cointinue to perform. Either imho.

Questmead will serve public.
Ah ok makes sense thanks alot! May go for PF then, mine are also hairlined cracked too but I guess that's the joys of performance brakes.

Good till you cannot feel the groove. Probably got 4-6 TD days left.

Ive got RS29 yellows on mine and have great bite.
They are getting a bit naughty, the grooves are dissapearing. You reckon mine had that many left? I was under the impression they were pretty dead! I could do without the cost of buying discs but putting pads on old discs is a no no is it not?

That's what I run mate, they were absolutely spot on again as usual yesterday, solid feel from 130mph everytime. I had to come in because I was tiring myself out not because the car felt tired

My discs have done in track miles;

1700-2000 AP fronts
2000-2100 PF fronts

that excludes all road miles. Effectively at one time it was 15 trackdays (2000 track miles) and 8,000 road miles a year and new discs every winter.

Blimey Jim

They are nothing like that thankfully. But yeah I suppose a visual inspection is hard to gauge an idea of the condition. I'll have to see if anybody has one of those thingy-ma-jigs (technical term)
