Yes mate OCD to the MAX
... and all because I want the front wings painted properly right to the edge and a bit beyond to eliminate small stone chips that existed on the inside edge of the front wings which you can't get at properly if the wings are left on the car and if not treated will develop to small scabs lifting new paint (pic below). BTW the door was fine but my Pro. painter said he needs it to blend the SG paint into it as otherwise the newly painted wing will show up a different shade of SG from certain angles. Apparently SG is one of the more tricky colours to match perfectly.

Totally understand.

Never realised that painting the panels in situ would not give 100% paint coverage.

Are you having the sill covers painted?

Only asking as mine have quite a bit of rash from front wheel debris.

They just unscrew from the floor don't they??

Has anyone ever had a painter tell them that a colour is an easy match?.....thought not.

Apparently the Sapphire Black is a lot easier to colour match and blend

Most probably matey as mine are showing the same signs of use as yours.
IIRC they are held by captive clips on the top and plastic rivets below.

SB can be painted on the panel that needs to be painted, SG needs to be sprayed on the panels next to it also so it shows no difference between them.

That's because it is a proper colour
