Default Hello To You All - And a Few Questions....

Hello - Long time lurker here and now decided to join....

I have owned about 12 different BMWs over the years including a couple of E30 M3s and an E36 Evo, most memorably a Sport Evo which got sold about three years ago.

Working for BMW not surprisingly I have a company car - 330d Touring.

Really looking for some information on specifics of these cars, as my Father has deceided to take the plunge into CSL ownership, as he's looking for ''one more special car''

He asked me what I thought and being a BMW nut there was only one choice when he said minimal depreciation was a high priority...

Now I'm tasked with finiding him a car and I think I have found one.

It's a Sapphire Black 53-plate car with ~44K miles and will be on the plate DK53 EWB when sold

Does anyone know the car? it still has BMW Warranty which was a priority if not a deal-breaker...

Seems completely standard, and a well-written ad by an owner who appears to care well for it.

I'm planning on seeing it this weekend as it happens to be pleasingly local to us too!

I've checked it out on systems at work and I can see that it had 3 recalls done. Question is, what other recalls should it have had being built 12.11.03 ?

How can I tell if the wheels are genuine?

Anything else I should look for? Plaque etc?

Many thanks in advance...

Cheers - Nick.

First thing that jumps out is the 1700+ mile running in service.

yes I noticed that inmmediately, but if BMW still warranty it I guess it's ok?

To be honest, I wouldn't be worried about an extra 500 miles, though it would be more of an issue if it had missed it all-together...

Cheers - Nick.

1700 run in service is acceptable to BMW. 2000 and it's an issue.

Wouln't worry about the plaque as they turn up on here and Ebay quite often, genuine wheels have BMW stamped on the front of them near the middle and BBS on the inside, which reps do not have.If it has full warranty you have nothing to worry about really. It looks a nice one, apart from being black.

He should have known better after the first post. I do quite like the black ones and it would have been my second choice after SG
