This car has done in a race or qualifying a 54.2s on 1A tyres in CSCC and 51.8s on slicks in Kumho BMW.

Id hope we could do better but as you know lots of variables (and the 51.8s on slicks was a good time on that day) and m3 cup cars are doing 53-54s. BRands is not a power circuit so set up and driver skill will have a more than usual levelling effect.

It has done a 2m07.2 at Snetterton but is suspect best time will be 2m05-06 similar to other front running cars. On slicks they run at 2m02s ish. M3 Cup are doing about 2m10-12 but I suspect the Nangkangs are the limiting factor

Cheers, I was interested to see how the M3 would compare to the Caterham, around Brands a very good lap would be low 53's on road legal rubber and snett would be 2:09/2:10 for a very good lap, my thinking would be the M3 would be quicker with the long straights on the 300?

The caterhams are hilarious at SNett iirc as they draft each other on both straights each lap so you get a continuous overtake and reovertake

Haha yes lots of swapping places, it can be hard to get away. You are often better off working as a pair to break away or catch up with the lead pack.

I have just signed up for kumho too - 22 M3's in class A1 so far! I think some poo will come out starting on a grid with that lot.

Wow thats a huge grid of M3 Piers, Kuhmo seems to be growing again last two years. We have a set of slicks came with the car, be shame not to use them.
