Default M2 Competition slower around the 'Ring than CSL shocker

Given the track is now several seconds faster due to the improvements / upgrades made following the well publicised racing accidents, it shows how good the CSL was / is

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

The one they use currently, but not the one that set the CSL time (Horst Von Saurma).

Apologies if it is a stupid question but do they drive them with DSC on or off? I ask as i have recently seen comments from racing drivers who say they keep aids on as these are more efficient than their skills/reaction times.

And the CSL time was what? 7.50 vs 7.52 36 sec

He did seem to have some problem or drama at Brunchen aka 'YouTube corner'

I am sure that I have also seen that the Competition M2 is heavier or was it slower than the ordinary M2.

The CSL time was done with the TC off, as they commented on the fact that the time was not much slower with it on.

Google is your friend regarding the other questions .

The Problem was that the dct upshifted mid-corner despite him being in auto mode. Thats why he was angry.

M2 Comp is about 50kg heavier than normal m3 i believe, but surely its still faster.

Thank you Mike. The trouble is 'fake news' and verifying sources.

Select, interesting, 50kg verses how much extra power - ? It is a shame they did not 'CSL it' and strip out the heavy seats along with some other bits. Proper Recaro buckets would have been the way forward.
