I am not sure how to interpret your post.
Last time I checked, track focused suspension kits help reducing laptimes compared to OEM.

A lot of Porsche race cars run Ohlins suspension and not OEM.
All the current BMW Motorsport cars (M3 GT4, M3 GT2, M3 DTM and Z4 GT3) run Ohlins suspension...

Not talking about race cars.

Take a car, a very fast sports already very capable on track car. Same engine, same tyres, same aero, same gearbox. Just change spring and dampers and find 1.5 seconds? How exactly?

It's classed as 2 way (I think) bump and rebound

Demon Tweeks £2,392.58
I can a few hundred off this but would need to check if that was open to others

Hi,

Not sure I understand your point.

Reason being that if you altered the
Valving and Springs rates on say the
std CSL set up, then on Track it would
be a little quicker, BUT, its road
manners would be sacrificed a bit further.

The ''compromise'' balance that was dialled into
the Suspension between Road and Track [Ring] use
would as a consequence, be more biased towards
Track use.

Not saying in this instance it would be a 1.5 secs
per lap Gain, but if you alter the dynamics of
the Suspension in say favor of the Track then
you will do so at the expense of the road, and if
done correctly, go a little faster on Track.

Bit like a F40, run one on the Track out the box,
and then go drive same Car but with Michelotto
suspension, you would swear that it was not the
same Car.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Think the kit is 1 way Steve, bump/rebound combined?

I can get prices too as I have a contact who is a Onlins supplier, he gave me some decent prices a month or two ago as matey from m3cookies wanted help with his epic fail group buy

Not true - was with a latest spec Z4 GT3 yesterday and no Ohlins in sight...

PS. M3 GT2 isn't current car anymore either, Z4 GTE replaced it, and looks lovely!

Guys, I have my contact in the Ohlins test center in Nurburgring.
I am going to get a TTX suspension hopefully in April.

Another 2 guys want to get the R&T kit for their Minis.
Would anyone else be interested in the R&T kit ?
Maybe I could sort a massive discount for all of us ?
