Yes, this is my old car. And yes, the bumper, wing, and door hadn't had the Rolls Royce of repairs / paint. But, the buyer of this car had a full inspection done on it and there was no evidence or proof of big accident damage. FFS it could of been damaged by a supermarket trolley in the car park!! People get too hung up on finding the 'perfect' car. It never exists. The CSL was a car that was well known for being 'used', 'tracked'. They were cheap as chips at one time - people bought them to use them, not to wrap them up in cotton wool (like they are now). It's been said many times - if in doubt, have an inspection done. Tyre-kicker Lance would of been £10k+ up now if he was 'serious' about owning a CSL. The engine had been fully rebuilt by BMW at a cost of nearly £20k. Warranty - Yes. Bootfloor repair - yes. FSH - yes. Receipts for £kkkk's - yes. Low owners - yes. Above average condition - definitely. Why did i sell? - GT4 arriving in November!

Anyway, effing great car the CSL was. Sadly didn't get to use mine much as it was down at Elms BMW in most of my ownership. Come on BMW, sort the fucking parts supply issues out!! This wouldn't happen in any other premium brand.

Oh, and good luck to the dealer who now has the car, and also to anyone that buys this car. If it really chomps yer sausage, get the front resprayed!

Bit of advice Lance - stop talking boll0x about other peoples cars and go buy something. Lifes too short.

Take care all

Excellent post chap!

Refreshing to read!!

Isn't it strange how potential owners looking @ £50K csl's quibble about minor cosmetic imperfections that can be professionally restored for a fraction of the car's value.

Ok I wasn't going to elaborate but seeing as I was talking bollox I'd better

The bonnet, fns wing, and ns door had been painted badly
The bonnet and ns wing don't align properly and you can still see this in the royals jag pictures
It had also been painted into the b pillar shut
I spoke to the previous owner who admitted hitting something down a country lane and replacing the front bumper
Maybe this was all that was damaged but to me it set alarms bells ringing
I didn't consider these minor cosmetic issues but that is my opinion
When you are spending £55k buying a car from a prestige car dealer i expect the product to be flawless, it wasn't.

The car had clearly had a hard life early on as most of the parts had been replaced including the engine rebuild

I'm fussy about my cars and I was looking for a keeper so decided to walk away.

It's for sale again very quickly but there may be a genuine reason for that

Sounds fair to me. I would want a straight one at that price.

I would suggest calling Dan at Munich Legends before buying any cars .
He sold my car without any fuss and always has buyers and sellers of top quality cars. Dan knows the market inside out and will only buy the best cars for re sale.
They are a top outfit .
