Default Cayman GT4 price impact on CSL

So will the new Gt4 help, hinder or have no impact on CSL?

I think short term it won't help as a new GT4 will be same price as a 15k CSL, but long term if the Gt4 price rises, suspect will be good for CSL, as it's probably a more direct comparison that a 911.

Thoughts? Many won't care! Has made me consider selling my 30k mile example

Hopefully there will be a temporary crash, then when I buy one the price will go back up again I don't see it having any effect myself, they are very different cars. I do love the look of it, I think the new GT4 will be what many people want in a fun road car.

How much do you value your car at?

You would still need to put in £30k+ to get a decent spec GT4.

They will make 5000 of them, far fewer CSL's, and there will not be a second generation of the CSL or an RS version.

GT4 will be a great track car.

Value mine at £40,000 to £45,000. Basic one would be fine, so about £20,000 to find.

A lot less than the natural upgrade to a GT3 which was the plan, albeit it a few years time.

I don't see it having any effect. They are two completely different ownership propositions. One is a brand new car which will cost ~£80K once optioned up, and come with manufacturers warranty. The other is a slowly appreciating modern classic that will come with all the pitfalls of owning a 10 year+ old car.

In this day and age you don't buy a CSL because it's the best track toy or has the best kit. You buy it because you want a CSL. The GT4 won't change that.
