I am not very good at monogomy when it comes to cars. The last car I bought before my CSL was a 1989 Mercedes 300SL, the car I bought after it was an E36 M3. Next purchase will probably be a DB9 for a bit of a change, really fancy a V12.

The CSL Handles like its on rails that’s what makes the car what it is the 1M is more of a road car you could use every day.

Don’t get me wrong the 1M is like a go cart but it is not as planted as a CSL.

I would say the 1M is faster but moves around a lot with the short wheelbase.

And with all the torque at 1500rpm it likes to spin wheels
Its also very easy to get going faster Intercooler upgrade / Cobb Acessport / mid pipe exhaust and it will be up at 430ish BHP.

The Noise the CSL makes is fantastic
The 1M sounds ok for a turbo car.

The Brakes are good standard as it has the brakes off the V8 M3

I would recommend one or go and have a drive in one its a blast
With prices heading north i would hurry up if you want one
cars with 30,000 miles are the best buy just now as the lower mileage cars are up for strong money.

Also the Black cars don’t sell as fast as the Alpine white or Valencia Orange

Loads of Cosworths
Pre CSL was a Subaru 22b
Still have CSL (7+ years)
Fancy a 997 GT3 CS but wouldn't sell the CSL for it (would love an RS but they have gone mental price wise.

I would agree/add:

1. Damping on the CSL is better.
2. The lighter weight of the CSL is apparent on twisty sections of road.
3. Seats are better in the CSL - can obviously be addressed.
