Default Why the difference ?

Online price for oil service @ Sytner is £285.00

Also priced the same for my Z4M Coupe, same engine capacity, £200.00

Am I paying CSL Tax ?

Previously serviced at Elms Cambridge which is now Barons, should I use them ?

Did they take the airbox off to check the dip stick perhaps, only difference I can think of,or did they price for changing the air filter, which would be dearer?

It’s an online quote on their website.

Basic oil service.

Service icon Engine oil service
Engine oil is drained and the engine is refilled with BMW approved oil
Oil filter is removed and replaced with a Genuine BMW oil filter
This Service may require an additional microfilter service as part of your vehicles BMW service schedule. Please refer to your owner's manual or speak to your service advisor for more information. If you require a microfilter service please select the 'Engine oil service with microfilter'
Relevant service light reset (Only if this service is part of your BMW service schedule)
If this service is not part of your BMW service schedule then your vehicle will not benefit from an exterior wash and interior vacuum, your BMW Service History will not be updated and your service light will not be reset.
Recommended every 18,000 miles or 2 years from last oil service. If this is part of your vehicle's service schedule then this should alternate with an inspection service
£285

The CSL went into Sytner today for the oil service and airbag recall.

The guy there said it also needs a brake fluid change @ £88.00 so the total would be £416.00, really I said, he used his phone to add up the figures and then said, oh £373.00

I asked why the CSL oil service was £285 and my Z4MC was £200, he looked confused and said he didn’t know.

Three hours wait later the car was ready, price now £326.10

Health check shows front tyres need changing and a broken rear coil spring. Price to replace both rear springs and pads £564.08.
Parts £298.03
Labour £ 266.05

Thinking of MPS4S
