With Spa looming I've actually managed to repair my stripped front hub with a V-Coil helicoil repair kit.

the irony of this fix is that the stone/dust shield had split around the top securing bolt

penny washer bodge later and all's well.

front hub will have to be pulled to replace the shield!!!!!!

so I'm back to square one.

I've been putting on bigger and bigger washers for two years every time the rattle returns.

Got Simpsons to swap all bearings this winter and did the shields at the same time.
