The magazine looks like its certainly worth a look.. opel/vauxhall lotus omega (was it even called omega in UK?) Tiff Needell and of course the CSL.
Would be great if you could scan the CSL bit

Don't hold out too much hope for this. Modern Classics Magazine has a CSL vs AMG Black a few months back. Naturally I snapped it up but it was a very poorly researched article. CSL having narrower wheels than a standard M3, and manual CSLs being available outside of Europe were two obvious hum dingers. They did managed to stop short of mentioning the cardboard boot floor though, so it wasn't a complete fail.

I spoke to the guy who wrote the article you refer to, Nathan was his name I think, as I happen to have both the cars he mentioned and wondered if he wanted to do a more indepth (accurate) article on both the cars.

He'd based the entire article on one mornings driving of the cars and had no further exposure to either of them before or after, so wasn't properly informed as to their unique attributes.

The cars appear more similar on the surface than they are in reality and aren't actually comparable in my view. The CLK is so instantly likeable and controllable that it easily seduces you, and it does feel very nice and special inside. The CSL more than stands up to it but in a very different way. I can see someone who's spent a morning booting the cars around roundabouts and inviting corners that they might be more initially impressed by the CLK (as the author of the article was) as it invites you do a skid it at every opportunity. The CLK does have a magnificent depth and breadth of abilities in it's own right, and it shouldn't be dismissed, but it is different to the CSL.

We all know how wonderful the CSL is and the sound far exceeds the CLK.
