Pre facelift are great, just the facelift are better.

Imagine 2 stunning birds, one ever so slightly fitter. You would take either!

cheers for the replies boys.... so in essence I will be more than happy if I go for a pre facelift one which is awesome news!

Shane if you could confirm that there is just one facelift which covers everything that would be awesome!

Also I've seen a few now which have had the secondary cats removed and the sound is just insane... either of you done this? reasons to or not to do it?

Hopefully get one soon so might go to the ring in October when a few of you are heading over!

There might be some small discrepancies as this is off the top of my head.

2008-2009 pp ..........

LSD part of PP
stiffer suspension
Alacantara steering wheel
uprated brakes

2010 ppp
NO LSD as standard- separate option
NO stiffer suspension, all models have the same
Uprated brakes- red calipers
Alacantara steering wheel
Carbon fibre spoiler
"Same" forged engine as in the SLS, 480bhp on paper, but most make nearer 500bhp in reality.

2010 models had different mirrors on too.

2011...full facelift time

Interior changes
Command different- better.
Better I-pod interface etc, improved nav etc etc
Different dash layout
Bumpers different
Bonnet different
Lights
Gearbox- no longer torque converter. NOw uses wet clutch, much much better. No slur between changes. More responsive

2011 onwards ppp

Forged higher output engine
Carbon spoiler etc
Uprated brakes- red calipers
Part alacantara steering wheel

LSD again is an option.

19" multispokes were an option on all years
Carbon packs options available.

Drivers pack option basically cost approx £2.5k for speed limiter lift from 155 to 175 and a brooklands driving experience. Ripoff

Best bet is to give me the reg of the car and ill tell you everything its got or not

Mate that is a post of epic proportions. I've been trying to get my head around this and looking at that list I've failed miserably.... To be fair they seem to change everything every year looking at that!

Have you de-catted any Shane? Or even done anything to the exhausts? I've seen enough videos of them with modified exhausts now that if I get one I'm not going to be able to resist!

Thanks mate

Taking secondary cats out does make a difference, it needs the x pipe still left in though

You could remove the centre baffle too

I must say I was very tempted to swap the CSL out for a C63 as a daily driver.

Then I worked out the cost of running one for 20k miles / year... Kept the CSL and bought a C320 CDI Sport in the end - it worked out cheaper!
