Jack at Royal Steering Wheels can do that, he can re-trim it and put padding into the wheel to make it thicker.

I've heard good things about him and his prices are reasonable.

Need to get mine done too at some point

Cool, I've sent both of them emails. Basically I want to recover the wheel in OEM alcantara with a light blue stripe at 12 and thickness increased to E9X m3 oem steering wheel.

Very nice, though I don't think the Alcantara on their wheels is as durable as OEM, slightly different colour too if mem serves me right.

Though having said that he doesn't charge the earth to get a wheel recovered and from what I have seen it's a decent job.

I think he will send you a Alcantara Colour PDF so you can choose whichever colour is closest to OEM...

I did get a price back from Transcal and Royal as follows this week;

Transcal

"The price for the outside of the wheel to be trimmed will be £195.00+VAT and there will be a £18.00 charge for carriage "

This equals £252.00

Royal -
E46 M3 CSL - padded alcantara 9002, M-stitching - OEM Style

130GBP + 9.99 GBP P&P(DHL next day recorded delivery) = £149.99.

1-2 weeks and we would also keep you updated so you know when to expect delivery.
Spare wheel could be provided for the meantime if required.*

A pair of suitable driving gloves would save all this hassle and expense
