Good Luck Niall, but I wouldn't hold my breath either on a change of date or venue, so I'm afraid your stuck between the proverbial 'Rock and a Hard Place'.
You'll just have to make the best of it, there's no way that you could miss your Daughters First Communion, she would be heartbroken.
There's always 2023?

Received this the other day from Neil who'd made it up for the Northern (England) squad and thought it might be handy intinerary to follow for those wanting to convoy with them
boys.

calendar-may-2013 small_no-heading.jpg

Myself and the Mrs are heading away around the 18th to take in a few places before meeting everyone in Munich on the Saturday afternoon/evening. Otherwise it'd have been a hoot heading out with everyone but I'm back offshore the Monday after we return on the Thursday.

Who's all going from Ireland anyway?
MKoop?
BarryC?
LeinsCSL?
Niall1?
ChrisBurns?
JonnyS?

Right then folks, I'm pretty much booked up for this. I'm heading over to England a week early as getting the subframe work done on the car, but then going to head from Hull over to Rotterdam on the 8:30pm P&O sailing on Friday 24th

Then it's down to Munich for a couple of nights, over to Salzburg for the Monday night, then off somewhere to find some good roads later on the Tuesday...Alps/Dolomites??? Nowhere booked for the next few days, so open to suggestions from anyone else

Then booked P&O ferry back to Hull from Rotterdam on Friday 31st at 9pm. This gets into Hull at 8am, and have then booked the Irish Ferries Swift boat from Holyhead to Dublin leaving at 5:15pm, so gives loads of time to get over there that Saturday

Morning folks,

As above really, all booked up now including the hotels in Munich and Salzburg.

Im heading over early also, Sat 18th to Birkenhead then tunnel on Mon night. Few stops after that until rendezvous with everyone on the Sat night before all sorts of organised tours and photos over the Sunday and Monday. Move over to Salzburg on the Monday afternoon in preparation for TD on the Tuesday and then back to Munich for me to visit her sister.

Tiergarten on the Wed night before a day at the 'Ring and ferry to Hull from Rot that Thursday. Friday blast to Cairnryan and try to catch an early'ish ferry over to Belfast and home for Friday evening pints.

Any reason you're going to England for the subframe fix Leins? Mine is booked into DP in Omagh to get it checked out but was just going to get the work done here, if of course it's needing it.

Good stuff Baz, can't wait for this one!

Re subframe, there are no cracks showing at the mo, and as it's out of its 10 year warranty period in August I've decided to get the work done to reinforce it going forward. Mprove in Cheshire are going to inject it and fit the plates so hopefully that'll be it sorted. I've heard good things about them, and also I don't think any of the dealers will fit plates, only do the resin injection?

Looks like I'm out. With most of the organised events on the Sunday and Monday morning I can't do Saturday in the West of Ireland and realistically make Munich in time..

Enjoy and safe journey.

Niall

Not sure who else is going on this now, and Baz will be over before me anyway, but looking at the timings and route to Munich on the Saturday I reckon a stop-off in Stuttgart at the Porker museum for an hour or two might be on the cards. Think some of the Scottish lads are planning this too
