Pure speculation I would say, I could be wrong (as I often am) but it took BMW 30 years from the E9 to reintroduce the CSL name with the E46.
On that basis the next incarnation should be running on Nitrogen at 20p a ltr.

according to Top Gear 22 jan 2014 there are no plans for a Csl or anything like .... Apparently direct from BMW..

Anyone seen Chris Harris latest video? The Megane Trophy R set a quicker lap time than the M3, so perhaps a more focussed track special is needed!

I think some sort of line is crossed when a wing is added.
I know GT3's etc have them, but I think the genius of the CSL was that it was pitched just the right side of the line where you can't really use it every day anymore. A CSL has got rear seats, tilting recaro's and aircon etc. Last edited by 0836whimper; 29-01-2015 at 03:45 PM. |
