Totally understand. Occasional use will protect your residuals. From experience a number of low mileage csl's up for sale have not maintained BMW servicing time constraints.

Many previously marketed have a huge time gap between their first oil service and Inspection 1. Just something to look out for on your quest.

I don't understand why owners didn't have them serviced to book. I looked at a 15k miler before buying mine, and whist it looked immaculate, it had only been serviced once after the running in service! Shame really

That's has become the accepted norm with low mileage examples, don't use it so why service it?
If the read the handbook it tells you why, so you don't invalidate the warranty, seems a good enough reason to me.

Mines on 35k and been serviced on the button Gareth commented saying it was one of the cleanest he had seen,which was nice.

Plus old oil just sitting in an engine is never good. Still degrades....
