Spot On Shim + as Ian said, Gareth is a good bloke (and a fellow enthusiast ) who knows our cars individually (inside & out) and treats them with respect.

I always get servicing done at the best dealership I know which means one that understands the car and knows the likely issues of the car best. This means that during servicing they are much more likely to pick up issues (partly due to the philosophy of dealers hunting for work repairing them and partly due to knowledge).

In the past I would normally choose to get the faults fixed at an Indy like Simpsons as they also have excellent technicians and understanding and sprayed are cheaper and they are happy to deal with a/m parts nd set up for track (something that Elms also now have shown they are happy to do).

However with a warranty and past goodwill most of this repair work was actually done by BMw at Murketts or more recently Elms as unlike many ither bmw dealers they recognise the issues quicker, they don't treat you like troublesome youths but valued customers who might well come back and spend more money there and buy cars in the future.

The VALUE is in the knowledge. Gareth can pick up stuff and warn you early. This can mean that even with a warranty you can avoid another excess bill by wrapping up jobs together, or at worse it means if necessary you can lay Elms to do work whilst it is there and avoid a long trio to Simpsons if it can be avoided.

Thanks for everyone's replies .... I have heard from quite a few different forums that BMW Elms of Cambridge and Gareth are the BMW Dealer and BMW Technician to use. So plan to have the BMW Inspection II Service done there .... Even though my nearest Dealer is BMW Berry Chiswick.

It is good that you can speak the technician too.
I think yes also .... Word of mouth .... And that more M3 CSLs go there means they learn more about the model and have more knowledge than most other Dealers because it is a very rare BMW.

Just had an Oil Service done so will be a little while before the really big one.

That does not seem too bad I thought it might take 2.5 hours each way lol.

Took me 1.5 hours to drive to Munich Legends a few weeks ago .... M4 .... M25 .... Then down all these roads think it was 60 miles each way

Btw Yanto is there a CSL Register meet on Saturday at Elms or you got a service coming up :-) ?
