sorted new insurance policy

£750 with Competition Car Insurance, protected, fully comp, full no claims, (aviva policy) and effectively 5 trackdays included inc Spa, no mileage limit, wife to drive as well

Managed to get full like for like cover for modifications (suspension and brakes mainly) as i though better to be honest and not risk it.

Last years policy with HIC was aboiut £1100 with all UK trackdays covered but they werent interested with the new mods

Who do the guys based in London recommend for insurance? Getting some silly quotes back at the moment.

Live in SW4, so not great, but not that bad!

its not the quality of the houses that count but the amount fo cars that are nicked!

your best friend is ring and try as many as possible

as an example my Aviva policy run for 8 years thru all my cars then i wanted trackday cover and they refused to cover me so i went last year to HIC.

THen this year i tried Aviva again just for road use and they refused as i 'went on track' as well. i found the Comp Car Ins policy that included trackdays and to my surprise the policy was with Aviva....

Keep ringing round, dont bother witht the Tinternet

BIG Thank You to GlenDog for recommending " Competition Car Insurance " Drinking solutions owed They are VERY professional about their business and quoted me an incredible £505 for a Fully Comp. policy which includes FOUR Track Days (one of which could be an International Track Day like Spa) 35 Year Old Git, 5000 mile limit with £500 total excess, car garaged and used as a second car, weekend toy. You've never seem me whip my Debit card out quicker

Thumbs up

Competition Car Insurance have done me proud again!

My insurance is due for renewal next month but i have already used my 4 days policy included track day cover for this current insurance year, and the MLR Spa track day is coming up in a few days...

So, I rang CCI expecting to pay £60+ to add an additional day track cover for this year to then be informed that CCI now provide 5 days TD cover for policies as standard now and that they would add an extra day TD cover to my existing policy - FOC! Result!

I think CCI will be gaining my custom again for next year

Flux Direct just called and queried my csl valuation saying they have found one at a dealers for £22k. She didn't know anything about it as it was another dept who did the searching but there cant be one out there with 30k on the clock for £22k. Must be a normal M3? or a high mileage csl?

Anyway, £207 protected NCB.

ETA, found the £22k one... CAT D !!!!!

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

Felt compelled to call them but was told the girl I spoke to was wrong and they go by Parkers where value is £22k. Worrying really as how would you replace your csl if god forbid it was written off? I know of a friend of a friend whose csl was written off a good few years back but they couldnt find one to replace it with the same mileage so he got one with lesser mileage worth more. Would they do that? Anyone know of someones csl who has been written off and how they replaced it considering they are hard to find?
