I have been thinking of fitting ZCP comp rims, and trying to work out if they will fit? Figured someone is bound to have tried this already , and so just found this thread from a while back.

Shimmy, I was wondering if you left these on your car in the end? How did you get on after a bit of driving? Any contact to the wheel arch on the front? Like you say in the earlier post:

Quote:
CSL rims are 8.5J and et 44 which make the outside of the rim about 64mm out from the hub face.

ZCP front rims are 9.0J et 31 so are 83.3mm out from the hub face.

im not sure there is 19mm of flexibility before you hit the wheel arch?

CSL rears fited to the fornt stick out 94mm from the hub and thye only fit at -3 camber.
Agree with all those numbers, and would additionally say that for every 1 deg of negative camber, you gain around 5mm clearance at the top of the wheel arch. I'd be running fairly std camber (-1.5deg on last KDS). So they are gonna be pretty close to touching! I guess the brand of tyre will also effect things by a few mm depending on how chunky the tread is on the shoulders.

I guess another way of asking the same Q is does anyone run 20mm spacers on std front 19 x 8.5 ET 44 rims, with std camber, and clear the wheel arch OK?

In addition to clearance, how have people found handeling with this wider front track setup?

Cheers!

Reading some other posts on here, i am guessing it will tramline like a bitch....

Possible GTS style alternative from the company WSP:
http://www.wspitaly.com/Wsp-Italy/BM...-M-Silver.html

Available with 19 x 8.5 ET34 on the front, and 19 x 9.5 ET 23 on the rear. This would mean the front rim face is 10 mm further OB compared to OEM and the rear just 5mm.

Come in at just under a grand (euro) on Fleabay

ZCP are a better fit than Standard CSL rims. Stick out a bit more but not overly aggressive.

Maybe just a small spacer at rear if you are OCD but otherwise better stance than OEM

I use mine as day to day rims but I have CSL size tyres on them

Cheers Shimmy,

Is the handling OK on normal roads then? I must admit the setup does look pretty sweet in the pics you posted. What camber were you running in those pics (one reposted below)?

Ahhh...so you have 235s stretched over 9" rims on the front, and 265s over 10" on the rear? Glad to hear this works OK, as I mainly wanted a 2nd set of rims to fit some existing std sized tyres on to for ratting around in winter (if I have too!). I was a bit worried that they would look too stretched and take away some rim protection (), but they look OK in your pics.

I am finding a lot of CS sets (i.e 8" on the front) available 2nd hand, but to find proper CSL fronts at a sensible price is proving a bit more difficult. ZCPs seem to be coming a bit more common to pick up 2nd hand now.

they both are a little stretched but not massively. if you run e92 tyres i guess this is more likely to either rub or affect speedo/wheel speed but i guess only a possibility
