Yep Private sale/buy is best... directly from a known, long term owner (ideally on here) who's cherished their Cecil through out and knows it inside out
The problem is demand outstrips supply, there are none FOR SALE right now on here and when they do appear F.S. on CSLR they usually sell very quickly.
Tread carefully as low mileage CSL isn't necessarily the best CSL.

should you find a csl worthy of a viewing, take the car to Bartlett's in Huntingdon for Gareth to inspect. If it gets a clean bill of health rest assured you're onto a great example. The best £150 you'll spend pre-purchase.

Brian surely the csl is winding a few years off the biological clock!!

By the way CSL is still @ Bart's; 9 weeks on Saturday.

Thanks for that nugget of advice, unfortunately I know nothing on CSL other than 'I like it, a lot', so that will be so useful. My specialist area and most of my friends is an alternative German whips to the BMW!

Emailed the guy with the one in Portugal he is in no hurry to sell it he said .
Sounds like a nice car.
The other one at Ayrton has been around for a while reducing the price once so far.
