Hi gents,

Just to be clear I really do hope the car sells and that the new owner is happy and that the seller gets what he wants for it. I'm a car fan and want everyone to enjoy their cars, especially on sunny days like today.

We all have our opinions, mine are often wrong and I'm not afraid to admit it. Someone may pay £50k for this car as it has had a new engine and, by the sounds of it, will look mint when restored.

Personally for me I would prefer one with lower miles and an original engine and one that had original paint BUT I may be in the minority. We are all different and that's what makes the world go round.

All the best with the sale

I think he's referring to those areas painted in Titanium Silver, however if I remember correctly 'Shimmy' had his steering wheel repainted by colour matching the existing, no BMW paint code.

'NZ_M3' would probably know the BMW codes for the Titanium paint and the 'Plasti-Dip' type paint also.

Yes the trim

Cotsworth 50, original paint maybe hard to come by, I bet 90+% have had some paint to keep them tidy.

Plenty out there with original engines waiting to go pop.

Yes, sorry I know most will have had the front end done.

Yes, most have original engines, whether they're 'waiting to go pop' is open to question imho.

Anyway, I'm not adding much to this discussion so I'll leave you gents to it

If anyone has a CSL for sale then please feel free to PM me.

Matt was hanging out to be the 1 remaining oem paint King.

All bright and shiny now!!

Ironic that a stonechipped nose can have such a detrimental effect on value when a very small financial outlay puts £££££'s back on the car.

Just shows you're not using the car how BMW intended
