Default Guy Martin Autobiography.

Hey,

Just finished reading this, well worth the read.

Pages 250 & 251, was surprised when reading that he used to own a CSL 😊 Followed by a GT3 RS & and a E92 M3.

Cheers

Yep, and like most who sell - he regretted it.

Was there not a video clip of someone in a CSL pulling up next to him on his Mountain Bike on the IOM before he says, "Hey look, a CSL"?

Who owns it now - provenance? Perhaps they wouldn't admit to it

Had my car at Didsbury car show yesterday . . . normally I don't stay nearby, but I did yesterday and could hear some of the reactions. They are broadly:

What's so special about that, it's just a standard car isn't it?

People, I swear, still actually believe the boot floor is made from cardboard.

People tap the roof with annoying frequency.

People ask "Is it much different to a standard M3?"

These are going up in value you know, you want to keep hold of it.

Then you get the Guy Martin types who know exactly what they're looking at and freak when they see it - because they've never seen one in the flesh before, or perhaps not up close and certainly never heard one revving. I was asked, and obliged a few times in making the airbox sing. People however didn't understand that they should be recording the airbox, not the exhaust - that just didn't sink in.

It's a great car and if someone as unhinged as Mr Martin thinks so, who am I to argue

I just wish I could sell it, and buy it back in a few years unused for the same money I sold it for

I was at Kimbolton with mine yesterday, at one stage with the bonnet open this guy was having a good look and said, ahh, you strapped a supercharger on then....

I didn't have the patience to comment or put him straight.

Hey Baz, yeah that was me, few years ago during TT week, I was at a set of lights and he came past on his mountain bike with his g/f, had a chat with him as we pulled onto the promenade, said the car was mint and he had loved his
