Schnitzer looks fantastic, not bad for a last minute arrangement. Regretting not signing up for the Salzburg leg now .

They're all mega photos and wish I'd been there really apart from the snow stuff!

Schnitzer was fantastic, seeing the DTM cars up close, Q & A, etc. only meant to be a one hour tour but lasted nearly two.

was a fantastic trip to ASC, two stripped and prepped DtM, F1GTr and LM1 Wiliams BmW plus a real nice man who calmed down and gave us twice the time promised i think as he could see and feel our enthusiasm

It's actually Schnitzer Motorsport, Freilassing near Salzburg. Opposite the BMW AC Schnitzer dealership (for normal cars). I don't think you can just rock up, you will need to do some grond work to get a visit as it's a working race-prep HQ and not set-up for sightseers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schnitzer_Motorsport

I didn't realise that they run BMW Motorsport's cars and they have a serious trophy and car collection as a result.

They said they'd get an F1 out and I initially assumed they meant some other race series variant, but then walked outside to see a Maclaren F1 GTR from '97 Le Mans right there ! Unbelievable. They opened up the doors and engine bay etc for us to have a good look around. It had the lowest ground clearance I have ever seen.

We were asked not to take any photos of the DTM cars being prepped in the workshop. The technicians were working all around us and all the body panels were off to expose the engineering. Serious, serious machines those.

Notably all the race cars we saw were NA and had massive carbon airboxes

We were also showed the lorries that transport the cars to the races. The chaps were so good, gave us unrestricted access and so much time.
