Mine is my only car as well. Insured on a 5k per year policy.
I originally chose to buy one with slightly more miles so I wouldn't be too concerned about adding some. Owned for coming up 2 years, done about 7k miles in that time, including an 800 mile weekend in Wales and a trip to Le Mans Classic and back last summer. I will be driving it down to Southern Spain later this year with a group of the lads as I'm getting married there so will be adding some miles then. Living and working in London I certainly don't need to use it every day, but I try and get out most weekends for a drive. If I can get back most of what I've put into the car should I decide to sell it then that's just a bonus in my opinion.

Mine isn't. As I have 320d for daily duties and beside it would be too harsh and uncomfortable through city traffic which is everywhere here.
I couldn't care less about the miles though. It took me years and lots of money to find one of the 8 cars in the country so I plan to drive the hell out of it. Be it street or track. If it appreciates fine, if not still a cracking weapon unless you wanna upgrade to super-sports. I bought my e30 m3 with the same intention as well. It is worth roughly 10x what I paid for it back in '07 and I am trying to add miles and smiles on her as much as possible. One other thing, you may call me superstitious but the more you baby a car, more things go wrong with it. I know the other CSL's in the country and their so called low mileage, garage queens CSL'S always have something wrong with it. Minor stuff but still headache. So drive the hell out of it, life is too short !

No, sunny jaunts and the odd trackday only.
I've just bought a Yeti 4X4 as the family friendly daily, I figured that if I can't go fast and loud, I can go slow and off-road instead. |

Nope mine not a daily but will be over the next couple of weeks. S8 wheels en-route to Lepsons so CSL has to step up for some use
