No, not the full works. I drive the car too much for that.

Plan is to remove the subframe and do the plating. They will then do a paint & protect, and I have asked this to be extended out to the wheel arches rather than limit it to the axel carrier panel. Subframe will be blasted and powdercoated then re-fitted with new subframe and diff carrier bushes. I’m also having the rubber coupling in the propshaft replaced. Anything that either falls of off, or needs cut off, will also be replaced with new OEM (thinking exhaust shields etc).

So no, not the full works. But the important stuff plus a little bit. I see this as both adding value to the car and giving me piece of mind.

Re getting together, yes we should get something sorted. Seems there are more CSL owners in ABZ than I thought. I figured it was just me an Paul. Will have to wait till spring though as mine will be going straight into hibernation once it’s back.

Lol yes there's a few stashed away in the suburbs. I've not seen mine since May this year when I parked it in storage.
Just been too busy with the other one to give the CSL the attention it deserves.

Nigel and John used that company for transportation before so not the 1st time that cars been on that truck.

Yes Paul. I used them on Nigel's recommendation so I have no worries. Car should arrive at Redish today.

James and Pete at Redish did a great job with my car.

It's my car in this thread:

I'd loved to have got their full underbody restoration done, but I didn't have the funds to do it at the time (and had a driving holiday coming up as well)

Well back on topic. Car is with Redish and has been fully inspected. So far I can't praise them highly enough. They've kept in constant contact and have supplied me with loads of pictures and information.

Wish I could say they've found nothing to report but......

I thought you'd sent it to them to have the re-enforcement plates fitted anyway?

Shows you've been driving the car properly anyway
