Smoother running with the flap installed?
General curiosity has had me replace my bust flap motor and reinstall the flap into the airbox. What can I say, I guess I got bored.
It it my imagination or is the car now smoother during low speed start / stop driving? Has anyone else experienced this or it it my mind playing tricks on me? |

I think it may be true. At lower speeds the flap being closed should reduce the amount of hot air that is drawn. At higher speeds there's enough airflow for that not to be a problem

Have you ever considered the possibility that if it wasn't needed it wouldn't be there.
I'm sure the engineers in the 'M' Division did and they should know
