OMG Shimmy, I take it you are very hard on the brakes !

What pads are you using? I can imagine 1 iffy set of disks but 3 ....

If the group buy doesn't come off this week I was going to pop over to Questmead for a full set of AP disks, I may re think ....

Tbh the first couple of sets did do some heavy braking circuits quite a few times like Bedford and Monza and were great until the cracks started appearing to the edges. I should have changed them earlier but sometimes you don't look close enough or see the inside disk.

They tend to crack as they get thinner and RS 29 are quite hard.

My gut feel at the minute is that the combination of PF discs and RS 14 will be a lot kinder to the disk.

great I've just bought a full set of RS29's, may have to get some normal road pads and just use the RS29's for track ....

no news from any of the guys at Thorney's ....

I've sent John another pm, Ian did say he would be having a look so he could come back to us.

I struggle to make calls during 9 till 5 but will endeavor to call on Monday to see if we can place our orders based on the 10 unit price, although there are only 7 on the list......

If its a non starter with John (10 unit price) I take it that it's everyman for himself ???

We haven't heard anything from the supplier about the numbers interested and moving forward.

If Rob has dropped out that means there are 5 definite's and yourself as a maybe?

The list was based on 10 units being purchased, it was a good deal but some people didn't need to replace immediately and if the buy was based on the 5 unit price they didn't want to purchase.

I along with others have emailed and pm'd Thorney's but haven't heard back. Did you get a shipping cost from them ??

Unfortunately this group buy hasnt worked out.

It was worth a try......

As above really, had to order direct from PF today because mine were in dire need of a replacement. I managed to get a small discount - circa 5% by asking nicely.

Maybe next time Steve - effort to try and get it to happen definitely appreciated.
