The only downside to the standard rear box is how heavy the bloody thing is....

I have the full Milltek system inc Race cats (thanks Glendog!) and i love the sound, it booms a bit under 3000rpm but it's bearable

It's certainly very nice mate - i like it. AlexGTT kindly took me out in his - cheers Alex

Inside, it was hard to tell through a helmet but it is similar in noise to my Miltek at lower revs with similar drone levels. Higher revs do have a slightly more distinct 'growl' as you increase speed.

TBH, it's more outside the car that i noticed any noticeable difference. Alex has the silenced mid section which does take some of the rasp away.

I'm tempted to get the Lightweight SS Racing back-box and try it with the Miltek centre section. Failing that fit an OEM centre again i think to get the rasp back

I fitted an OEM Mid pipe again after trying the unsilenced SS for a while but it was too boomy in the cabin, like REALLY boomy! I like the Rasp that I've got back.

A mate of mine just fitted a Milltek Centre pipe with a Borla back box and has lost the rasp completely,

I do fancy the Cats one day though.

What centre pipe are you running now Baz? I'm full Miltek and have very little rasp...

Regarding the cats - now that really is BOOM TASTIC! Just a warning...!

Standard Mid pipe again now, loving the Rasp especially on cold mornings which are very regular in Scotland. Each to their own though, I know some people think the rasp make the car sound cheap, but personally I think you recognise an M3 from others because of the rasp.

Oh, do the Cats make it boomy do they? Hmmmm, will need to keep that in mind when I have some extra pennies knocking about! (Like thats going to happen soon!!!)
