Have you round someone to map round the issues with decats then?

There are no issues contrary to what people say. Yes the emissions light comes on but it did when I had 100 cell cats (intermittently) It can be mapped out but i will see how it goes. A guy I know has put de cats on with no issues, the light didn't even come on, he had mapped his car previously so the parameters may have been changed before the decats went on.
The sound is just what I looking for with summer coming

had the 100 cell cats with x pipe and rear SS light weight box so it will be standard rear box with decats to start, then may be SS X pipe with resonator. Not sure on the last one yet ?

Chalkie over on MTorque (or BM3W as it was) kept having his car go into limp home mode every 50km or so with decats on, that was 4 or 5 years back, haven't heard of anyone running them ok since then on an NA engine though.

How much extra torque and power? Couldn't care less about noise, infact extra noise just makes it a pain in the arse to get on track.

I'm probably gonna change to a full SS system from cat back, but with un-resonated mid pipe and lightweight race box.

I miss the rasp that is now gone with the Miltek, and as i don't use the car as much as a daily drive, i don't mind if the SS system is a little more 'fruity'!

no figures anywhere I've looked, so not sure, IMO any gains wont be that noticeable when the cars are that well tuned to start with

noise level will be fine with the standard box on, would be over the required db with full system

I thought it was the mid-section that causes the rasp? I know the resonated SS pipe doesn't rasp but was under the impression that the un-resonated pipe would rasp?

As far as I know, from my experience, bits on bits off and others I know from doing the same, its the back box that is raspy. I had Standard system with SS lightweight box and the rasp went or may be I couldn't hear it over the sound and drone of the back box. Then X pipe un silenced with SS backbox, normal cats and no rasp. Full SS system with 100 cell cats and no rasp, loud, very loud. Back to standard box with x pipe and 100 cells cats, rasp was back. A friend was running full system including SS de cat and also wanted the rasp and couldnt live with the noise levels, so now has de cat, x pipe unsilenced and standard box, rasp is back.

I sold my full system to a friend who put it on his CSL and loved it for a month then neither he or his neighbours could live with it

I am going for the de cat and will see how it is for me. Its all part of the fun, buy it and try it, you have to try these things so you know yourself.....

if that makes sense
