Default Has anyone lese noticed????

I changed my rear number plate on saturday and underneath it on the boot lid is a BMW sticker with the last 7 digits of my chassis number on it......

Anyone else noticed this on their car???

That's probably the allocation No. assigning that boot to that chassis during the build.
I haven't got one as I would assume that it should have been removed after fitting.

If someone were to steal you plate, they could potentially steal a lot more if you have left it in place is still in place.
The last 7 digits are effectively the keys to the kingdom.

I suppose 1 advantage is now knowing the cars never had a rear end shunt lol....

This is quite standard for BMWs (at least E46 that I remember).
All of them have such a sticker to easily identify the car during transportation (along with others).

Was there a bar code as well ?
