This has sadly always been the story of my life, buying cool cars for a premium, and selling when the market drops, having owned 2 Imola Individuals, and one E36 Imola Prototype, and a couple of old 911's.

I have always said the only reason I sold my previous cars is because they weren't a CSL, so I'll have some explaining to do to the Wife if I want to move this one on, I guess the only excuse would be that I needed a Grey one.....

Slower suits me being such a Nebee

Ironically Its my third Black car in 4 cars, I wasn't going to get another as they are so hard to keep clean, but I just fell for it when I saw it.

first of all congrats as I know you have been after one for ages and no wonder you were after that flap now. I will post out tomorrow for you.

I do like black. looks like its been well looked after too. I had an SB one before but wanted to try SG this round.

defo agree on the wheels and getting them back to silver.

I am going for some cups if you are interested in some decent Michelin sport tyres for the car? proper CSL sizes too and have a look into the Parts for sale bit or drop me a PM.

nothing wrong with the 100k club as I am in there too.

Welcome to the club, and dont let the heathens fool you, you definatley picked the best colour, even if it is a complete arse to keep looking pristine!

Again unsure on the wheels, prefer a standard colour.

Also regarding cups, I would say that I prefer the Michelin pilot supersports for every day driving as they just suit the roads and conditions I drive better. And to be honest on the track I would just go for 18" used slicks on a spare set of wheels, same fun, not such a sting in the wallet! Definatley what Im going to do next year!

Thanks for the welcome. yes does feel good, though I'm finding it hard to drive the car without opening the taps to hear that induction raw, and of course its not long until you hit the speed limits.

The wheels will be going back to Silver, though not sure where to send them, and what cost that will be, but for now they can stay.

StraightSix, Yes I had a post oh PH, that I think generated a few crank calls for Nathan re the price of cars, but this wasn't the intention.

I just wanted to start talking positively about getting myself a CSL, as it had been a long term dream of mine, and talking about it was as close as I could get. In the end I did wrap the post up to say you couldn't skimp on the price of the CSL, but it was funny how everyone seems to miss the point, saying it would be better to get a CS, or modify a standard M3 to make the "Noise" with an airbox.

I think unless you want a CSL you don't really get it, its like all the cars running around with E36 M3 Mirrors, IMO you get the car that looks like the car that it is, because its that car.

In summary, very happy with my CSL, glad I did it, it was a shame for me that it took the theft of my V8 to finally get me on the right path, and a big that's to my wife giving me extra funds needed to get the CSL ;0)

So I guess every cloud has a silver lining, as if I hadn't bought the V8 I would have eventually gotten a CSL, and wondered whether he V8 would have been a better proposition.... but I known now the CSL , for me anyway, was the right choice.
