Default Ive got a feeling prices are going to rise stupidly north

Suns out, not many CSL's for sale. Nothing else in the price range, real classic car.

I doubt mileage will play a massive part in years to come.

Ive thought about selling for a long time but even if someone offered me £50k I think Id reject it.

Off for a blast in the courtesy car

I kind of think people don't realise how rare these cars actually are, as they were sort of born into the age of car forums and websites. You'd almost get the impression from all the articles and CSL talk that BMW had made tens of thousands of them, and yet so many people have actually never seen one in the flesh

Now that they're fast drying up in the market, and most of us have no great intention of selling, I really do get the impression that demand is starting to build. There's almost an air of "if I don't get one now, I won't be able to afford one next year"

Of course, if the bubble bursts I'll be off to buy a 964 RS and it'll be "seeya later suckers!"

"My personal pick for a future classic car is a BMW E46 M3 CSL. They cost nearly £60,000 new in 2003. A 35,000-miler is currently about £44,000 or a 16,000-mile car is £60,000."

On the road, a fully specked CSL cost £60,824 in 1993.

However, 'M3 CSL' had an asking price of £79,000, the Supercar Showrooms car at £69,995 and NJ had one up at £65,000, admittedly all were low mileage examples, but as the ceiling threshold (what they cost new) has already been breached, ours are bound to follow.

Not quite free motoring, but it will be interesting to see what prices will be in another 10 years.

I have same impression.

It's up to the current sellers to up the price.

It is interesting the attention the CSL draws today.

I was surprised to see how many people came to see and take pics of my CSL in Monza a few weeks back.
It has never drawn so much attention in the past.

If we all advertise our cars for £15k more than the current market price that would surely make others push their prices up. It could never work for a model where there are loads for sale, but 10-20 higher priced cars right now would surely have an impact.
