Default AP Rear Anti-Rattle Clips

Got a set of AP rears off off eBay recently. They were red but seeing as I had my fronts done black, I got Godspeed to refurb them to match the fronts. Couple of gratuitous pics

Anyway, had them fitted on Friday but the garage had trouble fitting the anti-rattle clips. Can anyone give me a few pointers to fitting them please?
Also when I picked the car up the pedal was really soft (I reckon not bled properly) so the bled the brakes again and it feels much better but slightly softer then it did with front APs and OEM rears - does that sound normal?
Cheers
D

Pedal can be bled to rock hard if wanted (did you change the seals on the pistons)

Anti- rattle clips at rear go in so curve faces inwards and you place the tube in after and push down maybe a litte. Smetimes you have to wiggle and push the bolt in to get it to grip.

(tip at the fronts is never tighten up one of the two bolts until you have both located into the thread and caught in.

Cheers shimmy.
Seals weren't replaced on this set, he said they were fine as were the pistons. This calipers were in much better condition than the fronts. Seller said they had only been used for 1500 miles although Godspeed thought they'd been used for more. Pads still have loads of life left on them (unless this wasn't the original set) so seller may have been right.
Still have the option of having them bled again but garage said there was no air in the system. He did just use a old school plastic bottle and hose to bleed them.
Will maybe have a go at the clips myself.

Yep

I drove back from Spa with Duncan last year and bought some anti rattle clips for him, nearly drive me bonkers (the lack of clips, not Duncan!)

Nope - mine clunk all the time and i have anti-rattle clips...

I think it's the pads not quite fitting as snug as they should. I thought it was my rears at first but it is the fronts as the noise disappears when i lightly press the brake pedal. It still clunks if i lightly apply the handbrake to the rears...

Rather irritating!
