Arrow M135i Add

In a recent add on PH, NJ refers to an M135i as:
"With breathtaking performance that puts a CSL M3 to shame in a straight line this is by far the best hatch back ever made."

The 135 was probably taken in part exchange against a CSL? Obviously saw the error of their ways!
There's a moral to this story - don't bite the hand that feeds you!

It might feel quicker in a straight line but in reality there's not much in it.

Anyway, NJ and his ad text content =

Around town due to the M135i's superior torque to weight ratio (332lb ft and 1440kg compared to 273lb ft and 1385kg), I don't think the CSL would see which way the M135i went. However, the CSL ISN'T about the daily schlep - it's far more special than that.

Sport Auto achieved an 8:18 around the 'ring with the M135i - at almost half a minute slower than the time they figured for the CSL, I won't be selling up just yet .

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

CSL number 044

Had an M135i the other day & whilst it was quick, it left me feeling a bit cold.

This would only happen with 4th gear and 1200 rpm.
No chance the m135 is anywhere faster than a csl.
I have a z4 35is which is faster than the m135i but is not faster than the csl.

Come on Mike, who races around town at our age.

Trust me, I have both. In a straight line it's close but shown a proper Welsh A or B road and the M135i won't hang onto the CSL for long. However, real World 40-80mph overtaking ability is stonking in the M135i and effortless.

What the big guy said
Plus above 100mph the csl would pull a gap,but spend a little dosh like cups pads and camber plates it would be very close on track against a standard csl.
