Went uninsured the 3rd visit only to then have a 'very close call' with a barrier - sod's law when uninsured! 'dave1' saw the whole thing following behind in his CSL!

After many years, finally i feel i have a good deal on my insurance renewal! As i do a few track days each year i wanted an annual road policy that also covers the track rather than having separate road and track insurance which has proved exorbitantly expensive...
I got a fair few quotes with most of the insurers listed on this thread with these details: Age 35, Married, 12 years NCB, no points, no claims, approx 7k miles per year, relatively safe postcode in Somerset, car garaged, with AP brakes/SS backbox/suspension mods... Quotes (best to worst): Competition Car Insurance (including 4 TD) - £535 Richard Eggar Insurance (including 4 TD) - £559 Keith Michaels Insurance (TD extra @£60 each) - £597 Adrian Flux (including 4 TD) - >£700 Pace Ward (TD extra @£78 each) - £712 Herts Insurance Company (including 4 TD) - >£1000 Bickley Insurance Services - >£1000 A-Plan - NO TD COVER OFFERED - ... A.Manning - DIDN'T GET QUOTE BACK TO ME... - ... Needless to say i'm now with CCI! For interest, my old insurer Admiral could only come up with around £650 - no track cover available. Happy!

Wow, I never even considered trying CCI for normal fully comp insurance when sorting mine out. Good work!
