Default I am still looking for a CSL !!!!

Helloo
Ok, maybe my first attempt was clutching at straws, so now i have got realistic!!!!
I am looking for a CSL, any spec, under 35k miles.
I like both colours.
Must have main dealer history and must have the running in service (that seems to be the main problem with most of the cars for sale currently).
A BMW warranty would be good, but as long as i can put one on the car that is fine.
I am not after a bargain, i am happy to pay the right price!!!
Please, someone sell me one

I think you should look at some CSLs over 35k miles mate, there are a few good ones out there. You have missed 2 good ones on here in the last couple of weeks, one of which will be an AUC in the next week or so.

What is wrong with Pauls??

PLEASE don't get hung-up on mileage, it is less relevant these days, especially on a looked after car.

it does look like a very nice car, i am just after a lower mileage one. All of my cars are lowish mileage. I am not saying it will be any better, just a personal preference

Low mileage car will be worse.
It's 7+ years old now and when the car is sitting, it has more problems than one that is regularly used and taken care.

that is true in most cases. My only concern would be that if i bought a car with say 55k miles on it, kept it for a few years and then sold it with 75k/80k miles on it, what would it be worth???

whereas

if i bought a car with 35k miles on and kept it for a couple of years and sold it with 55k/60k miles on, it would be alot more appealing.

I know it is not all about money, it is about the car, and i know you can say that you have to pay more money now for a lower mileage one and the difference will be the same in a few years!!

But in the ideal world i would prefer lower miles. Maybe i will change my mind, my ideal car was to have no spec on whatsoever but i have realised the chances of that coming along are very slim.

My thoughts trying not to be partisan about it

You buy a £35k mile CSL for £27k with full history and BMW warranty. You pay for BMW warranty for 2 years at say £1400 and 2x service a BmW for say £1250 (will include insp 2) so overall with no claims you have spent £29650. After 2 years you sell with 50k miles for £23k so the car costs you £6650 for 2 years ownership

You buy a 55k mile CSL for £21k with derived record but not full BmW and therefore no BMW warranty. You spend £1000 on x2 services over 2 years. Sell at 65k miles for £19k ( in a rush). Overall the car has cost you £3000, and you have £3650 in your pocket for a/m warranty or repair bills.

i agree with that but can i find a 55k car for £21,000. I know you are well connected Shimmy, do you know of one???

All of the 55k miles cars are up at £25,000ish, were i have missed a couple of 28k/33k miles cars at £27,000/£28,000. I had just started looking then!!

Patience is all that is required - it took me almost 6 months and around a dozen viewings up and down the country to find my car.

There will be plenty available in the Spring no doubt.

No chance unless someone is desprate but if you find one with no warranty And not sellin I think that price is possible

You have to make offers to buy a car, you can't just read the ads
