Default Whose idea was it to fit cups OMG

So tonight after hours of winter refurbing. I drove cesil out of the warm garage and down to the local petrol station.

What the ????????? Cups are lethal ! A gritter was coming the other way so i took avoiding measures. I was shocked at the lack of grip and traction. I checked the pressures and set to 2.4bar 35 psi.

Think ill wait till its abit warmer and reserve final judgement. PSS next im thinking

Also maybe the pressure is a little high? Shimmy advised me around 30-32 HOT for the road...

As regards tyre pressures I checked the door sticker. Says 2.4 bar all round.
So do most people run slightly less then ?

If Cups are used outside recommended conditions, is insurance negated?

They are an OEM supplied road legal tyre so I would think not.

Interesting point. But that would apply to most cars as they have summer tyres fitted. That's the way England could go if insurers insist on winter tyres in these temperatures.

Bring on the summer
