i consider myself an expert in this done many alcantara wheels in various grubby states...

1) Warm Water and Lemon Juice. For the grubbiest matted wheels dilute 1/4 as MAX. Normal is 1/8
2) Moisten microfibre with solution and rub gently, section a time.
3) Use a soft bristle toothbrush for nooks and crannies
4) Dry down with a clean microfibre, no rubbing on wheel, place cloth, maintain pressure and repeat.
5) Be very careful with Lemon Juice solution around Plastic Wheel centre, does remove paint if rubbed against it
6) Allow wheel to dry for 24 hours
7) Shave with Lint Remover/Beard Trimmer to remove fuzzies as required. Takes a while as you need go slow, I find beard trimmer better. (Obviously the shave method will only really work once or twice in a wheels life before it goes bold)

Et voila, worked for me on Audi, BMW, Merc etc etc. All looked ace afterwards, unfortunately no pictures other than my current one.
