Alternator not covered under warranty - Page 3

Hi guys,

My alternator just went yesterday and BMW are stating this will not be covered under warranty as I have an aftermarket audio system (amps, speakers,subwoofer etc) on the car.

The repair costs are very high (£860)

and I've already replaced an alternator on the car with the system on. Anything I can do? They won't accept me to bring a reconditioned unit or anything like that.
