Default For those without Xenons

Is there anyone without Xenons out there? And if so, have you upgraded your bulbs to something better than OEM?

I've a mate with a 2005 318Ci and was wondering if there is any decent upgrade for the standard lights?

No one reply with 'Buy a CSL with Xenons' please!

I don't have Xenons, the non xenon e46 lights are awful (but lovely and light ) I got some 100w bulbs in mine, much better but still nowhere near as good as my wifes e92 Xenons.

No options here, cos thats what this cars about

I did look into all the options though.

My thoughts were

100w bulbs - brighter, but theres a chance it'll cause too much heat in the wiring.
HID conversion - cheapish, bright, but no bi xenon and its the sorta thing you see on corsa's. Though Im sure you can get an OEM looking bulb.
Bi xenons retrofit - v expensive, but the absolute best. Needs alot of work doing though, reflashing LCM etc

In the end Ive done nothing, because halogens arent actually that bad. Obviosuly not a patch of xenons though.

Nathan, where do you get the likes of 100W bulbs and do you have any issues with folks coming the other direction?
