In reality, its purely Tart factor, the standard brace looks like something from B&Q's scrap bin, and alongside the carbon airbox the carbon brace just looks Rude and is lighter too.

Dave, they work out at about £200 + and then shipping, CA do a nice dry carbon one, which roy claims is flawless and doesnt/wont discolour with the heat etc.
They rrp at £190 and CA do 15% for CSL register members if i am not mistaken, so would work out cheaper to source from them.

the above carbon brace is a copy of the ac one so it looks the same just alloy
