Really? Don't critique the work without seeing it and basing it on cost without knowing who's doing the job

Just cling-film the car - cheap as chips and you could renew it every week if you so wish to keep it fresh looking

Well, I got the car back today just before some epic thunderstorms(!), and she looks gorgeous

He even managed to emulate the exact same factory paint finish orange peel on the rest of the car!

He relacquered the carbon splitters using proper 2-pack lacquer, but he said it needed to have a flexible additive added so that it does not crack at the first sign of flex or stone impact. He commented that the tolerance on the splitters is very tight, and it's not surprising that 3rd party/non-OEM splitters are not always a good fit. I'm very happy with the results - they really do look as good as they would brand new.

He said it's a simple job to do, and he would be able to do them quite easily for others if there was interest. His process is to simply strip them back, relacquer, and 'bake' in his oven. He cannot repair cracked CF, and he said there may be very slight, almost imperceptible dimples where a stone may have penetrated back to the raw CF. The cost is about £125, so not the cheapest, but the finish is really excellent and he uses the correct lacquers etc.

Photos tomorrow when it's not raining!

Looks a clean Job. Did you get the parts under the headlight and lower bonnet done? Nice work. Just waiting for my splitters to turn up tomorrow from a final top coat and oven session.
