Still thinking about selling to fund this years racing, what do you think the Intrax and brakes are worth if I take them off?

Also if I sell and left on the Intrax/APs and didn't repaint the stone chipped bumper, what do think its worth?

Its done 51000 miles FSH with recent Inspection II by Simpson Motorsport. Options are, Xenos, a/c, BMW CD/radio, Tracker. Wheels just fully refurbed by Lepson Swindon, Good Cups, Sapphire Black. Very good condition other than the stone chipped bumper. Never re mapped, standard exhaust.

What do you think for a quickish sale? I'm not greedy!!

Thanks

IMHO, for a quick sale of your SB CSL as it is (with the TD toys) £23 995 will see it go quickly, but then again Jan/Feb are usually a bad time of the year to be selling cars (though great time to buy one ) Then again CSL is no ordinary car so may not be affected by the usuall winter gloom.
Give it a go and U never know your luck. ATB

Standard is your best option when selling these.

You automatically eliminate buyers by leaving the track toys on, mainly because, it gives the impression the car has had a hard life (even if you only did a few per year).

Furthermore, people don't want the perceived hassle of trying to insure a modified car, even though in reality, a good insurance firm won't be too bothered.

Best

agree

i think youll get very little difference in price for standard against modified car (depending upon how many people are looking granted)

i personally would sell car as standard maybe with APS on only and sell the rest separately

Intrax worth i reckon around £1200-1500 if in decent condition - you may wish to get it refurbed

I hear what you're saying but that would apply more, to lesser cars then the CSL. At the end of the day U only need one person to buy the car... the RIGHT person

Unless U can do the spanner work yourself, it's additional cost removing all the TD toys which will have to come from somewhere. Are U "gays" saying that you would turn this CSL down if it was sold with both the Intrax & APs for £24 000 ?!?!. As long as the CSL has Full BMW Service History and some BMW Warranty, I see these as a selling point, especially on a CSL

If TD toys were left on, personally it would be a big plus point for me knowing what my indended use for the car would be if i was looking to buy Kevin's car.

However, you automatically rule out a big percentage of potential buyers by leaving the TD toys on the car as most buyers are looking for a clean, unmolested example - preferably with low miles. That's exactly what i was looking for when hunting for my CSL - now look at what my car has become 2 years on - with £££'s spent on it turning it into a more track focussed car since then!

I take Matt's point about the CSL being a specialist car sought after by 'enthusiast' buyers, but you will always get the casual buyer who probably doesn't know too much about CSLs come along and fancy buying one. I only wanted a nice 20k standard M3 when looking - and i ended up buying a 32k CSL instead!

I would only leave the APs on if anything, but if you have the time then it's probably best to return to OEM standard.

Ultimately, i still say don't sell Kevin! You can get a nice early E46 330 for just 5k or less these days

I have to agree with this, as most people know having bought mine quite recently this is EXACTLY what I specified for myself when purchasing a CSL!

I've always bought slightly modded cars and personally wanted to see how good a standard one was, in this case a CSL, then upgrade at a later date and feel the benefit for myself rather than just accept that 'that's how it is' so to speak

I've dropped you a PM kbird, if you take off the AP's and the price is right I might be interested and get the ball rolling for you
